You are cordially invited to attend the Stars & Tykes Celebration, a charity event produced by Tribute USA to benefit Our Military Kids. Our Military Kids provides substantial support in the form of grants to the children of National Guard and Military Reserve personnel who are currently deployed overseas, as well as the children of Wounded Warriors in all branches. The grants from Our Military Kids pay for participation in sports, fine arts, camps, and tutoring programs that nurture and sustain children while a parent is away in service to our country or recovering from an injury.

Stars & Tykes Event

The Tribute USA "Stars and Tykes" event will take place on May 19th, 2012 at Lake Compounce, in Bristol, Connecticut. The weekend will be a thank-you celebration to our country and a salute to our military children for their patriotism.   

May 19th, 2012  

• 1100 hours (11:00 AM)
  MILITARY HONORS will OPEN this event at our country’s oldest consecutively operating amusement park in observance of Armed Forces Day. Attendees will have the opportunity to experience military tradition and a display of Military equipment. 
  Park is open to ticket holders for unlimited use and enjoyment

• 1300 -1500 hours (1:00-3:00 PM)
  The Floral Flag Competition
  Connecticut Floral Designers as they replicate the United State’s flags (historical and present) along with our Military Flags.  Flag replicas will be judged and one winner will be selected.  

• 1300 - 1600 hours (1:00 PM-4:00 PM)
  The All American Tribute Picnic will take place at the Picnic Pavilions. This will include an “all you can eat” picnic with all the extras: music, entertainment, a canteen option and all-American fun. 

• 1800 hours (6:00 PM)
  The Park closes for Day-Time ticket holders

Stars & Tykes USA Celebration & Reception   

• 1800 - 2400 hours (6:30 PM - 12:00 AM) $125 Per Person / $75 Military

  A separately ticketed event which includes valet parking. The evening begins with a champagne reception at the historic Carousel. Guests will be able to mingle and enjoy the nostalgia of an evening which replicates a 1940’s USO Canteen, complete with swing dancers, chef tastings, open bar and a silent auction with bidding opportunities for one of a kind items.
